Overview of the organization:

Kubere Information Centre (KIC) is a multi-dimensional information centre offering development-oriented information, with an emphasis on agricultural and rural development information.
The KIC was established under the project “Enhancing Access to Agricultural Information using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs)" whose primary target is rural women farmers in Apac District, with partner women groups in Gulu, Lira and Oyam Districts. This project is one of the activities under the Information Sharing and Networking Program area of Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET). The project is conducted with generous financial support from the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA) and from Hivos.

Mission and objectives:

To act both as an Information Resource point as well as to support project implementation and two-way linkages with the women farmers.
