Nominate the best article published through the Citizen Journalism Africa Programme now! In honour of the commitment and hard work displayed by participants throughout the programme, we are awarding a prize for the best article published on the CJA portal.
For this competition, we are interested in how organisations/users have used and integrated web 2.0, writing and other skills built during the face-to-face training, online courses, training and handbooks. This is not only about journalistically sound articles, but we are also interested in how the article as a tool, may have supported democratic processes or raised awareness about a particular situation.
Judging will consider:
- Accuracy
- Relevance
- The extent to which the article is emotionally moving
- Whether the article is interesting
- The extent to which the article informs a readerThe article must be informative
Eligibility
All articles posted on the portal qualify for selection. But republished contents (from other media) will not be considered.
Judging Process
This is a peer to peer assessment. The competition is open to all CJA members. CJA member requested to send the title and link (URL) of their nominated article via email to noma@hivos.co.za Note: The author cannot vote for himself.
