The Films and Stage Plays Act, 1976

This law regulates the film, video and theatre industries. Article 3(1) prohibits any person from taking part or assisting in making a film unless the minister has given permission to him or her.

Article 3(2) restricts the making of films by a person for his/her own entertainment, or private exhibition to his/her family or friends.
