Residents in Lubya parish of Lubaga division in Kampala district have reported that there are four young girls aged between 14-16 years staying together in one room of one of the resident called Bob Kyeyune with out any responsible adult among them. The girls are reportedly from Mubende district where they came after loosing their parents and left with out any person to look after them. According to the local people, this is not the first case to happen in their area since many young people are becoming more independent. However, this news brings great alarm because the girls are too young and face many problems like rape, ritual sacrifice, prostitution and other forms of exploitation. When the LC1 officials were contacted about the issue they were not aware. They said that they would make inquiry to find ways to help these children find their relatives and other responsible person.
If his is not done in time an even bigger problem may occur on the helpless and innocent girls.
